Another Installation of "Kids Say the Funniest Things!"

They love taking my camera and taking pictures of themselves!

Katie told me today "When I grow up I want to be a Dad and a rockstar!" When I asked why she said "Because Dad's can do whatever they want and don't have babies!"

Katie : "When I grow up I want to marry Justin Beiber so I can be a mom!"

Tommy came off the bus one day (after talking to him about losing gloves and hats at school) "Mom! I didn't lose anything at school today!" The funniest part was he had his report card that he was excited to show me and not losing something was more important!

Katie cut out a picture of a person and said "I made this picture of Dad because it is kinda bald!"

Tommy "Ummm, Mom...you REALLY need to start buying Oreos!"

Tommy "Mom, if I had to vote for the most beautiful girl, I would vote for you!" awwwwww

Tommy after I asked him to get his pajamas on. (In his Harry Potter English accent voice) "Mother, there appears to be no jammies over here!"

Katie to Daddy "Daddy, when I grow up I want to be a teenager and a mom!" Daddy simply said, "That is great! You just can't be them at the same time!"

It is amazing how much Katie loves her daddy.

She loves me, I know that. But not like she loves her Daddy.

The other day she said "Dad, I wish you weren't in my family!"

His heart sank, I was shocked.

Then she adds "So I can marry you"

Doesn't that just melt your heart?

**Take note.....she doesn't say that to me!***

A Burglar In The Making?

I think I may have a burglar in the making!

Katie came down to tell me she locked herself out of her room.

She already had a paper clip stretched out straight and had tried to pick the lock. Apparently she couldn't do it and needed my help.

I took her upstairs and asked her to show me how she tried


She proceeded to show me!


She would have succeeded had she pushed it hard enough!!! I had to help her a bit and she did it!

Silly Katie!

Katie has been so funny the past year. She has the best and funniest personality of my brood.
I have to share some funny things she has said the past few weeks.

"Dad, you smell like a dad"

"Mom, when you are mean people, you ruin my day!" (when I wouldn't let her sleep with her Zhu Zhu Pet)

"When I grow up I am going to have a boy so Tommy can have a brother. He keeps asking for one!"

"Mom, when people die you have to marry someone else. Dad will die before you, me and Tommy so you will have to marry someone else." (I know, morbid)

"When you die, you go in the grass and they put a stone over you! I don't want to be part of the grass!"

In the mall she saw a security guard that looked about 75 She points and yells "Look! An old man police guy!"

At lunch with my dad,(just today!) he was rubbing her back. She loves it. She loves it so much she said (very loudly) "ahhhh....rub it baby!"

While at the Liquor Store we walked by the wine section and she yells "Mom, Dad! Look! It is the wine you like!!" If that wasn't bad enough, She saw the bottle of Skinny Girl Margarita I like, (it is delish) and said LOUDLY "MOMMA! There is your Skinny Girl drink!" When I put it in the carriage, she held it like a baby and said "This is my Skinny Girl baby!" I am assuming the people around us thought we were alcoholics seeing our kids knew what we drank! We aren't...she us just very observant!

I am sure I will collect more as the days go on! I should make as weekly post of them!

Just a Few More Days!

I just realized that Christmas is in a few days and I need to finish a few things. I have no idea when I will do it!

Today we have dentist appointments, a lunch at our Realtor's office, dance class, just to name a few.

I think I will play Bad Mom and not let Katie know she has dance today. It is the only time I can see heading to the dreaded mall to get my MIL's gift. There is no way I am going to try to go a night this week. I am sure it will be packed.

I am hoping I can get Katie to sit with Santa while there too. However, she is afraid.
I asked her "How will Santa know what you want for Christmas?"
Her response was a typical sassy one....
"I will just wait in line and then yell it to him from there!"
I have a feeling seeing Santa won't go over to well.

OK, OK.......I Really Will Be Back!

I have decided I really would like to get back into blogging. There are so many things I want to share or even things I want to post about my kids so I will remember! Plus, my oldest, Sami, told me last week I need to start doing it again! I took it as a sign!

So........it will begin here!

We, like everyone else, are getting ready for the holidays! It is such a busy time.

Katie, 4, is soooooo excited this year! She truly can't contain herself! She is now going to a Christian Montessori preschool. She is learning the true meaning of Christmas. We are not "church goers" but this is making me want to be. They excitement and love in her eyes when she talks about Baby Jesus is amazing.

Last week her school went to a local place called the "Fatima Shrine". Every year they have tons of lights and you learn about Jesus and Christmas when you walk around. The families walked around on our own then went into the the Hall and had a little skit, sang songs and had birthday cake for Baby Jesus. Katie just loved it.

He then tried to copy his big sisters by holding the camera up to take a picture if he and Katie.

We were making pancakes. It was a great "mom and kid moment."

Until........

I touched Katie with the metal spatula!

The one that I just used to take the pancakes off the stove.

The one that was super hot!

It caused her to screech.......

It caused her to bleed......

I am awful!

Katie Talk

Some talks Katie, my 3 year old, has had with me the past few days.

"Momma, when I was a boy last year I liked boy stuff!"

*Watching her big sisters get in the bus*
"Last year I was big to go on the school bus"

While I was getting dressed she said
"Momma, you have no hair like dad, except for your butt!"
**DISCLAIMER.......she was looking at the FRONT of me, not the back. I do not have a hairy butt!**

Freaked out!

OK....I just pulled a tick of of Katie's coochie!

I am freaked.

She probably got it from spending 5 hours at the park. I am so mad at myself for not checking!

We were in Target and she said there was something down there. She had a dress on and I took a quick peek in the isle. She didn't want me to touch. I thought it was some lint.

I get home, she goes pee and I look.

It wasn't lint.

It was a tick. One that has sucked some blood out already.

UGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Katie Mae!

Dear Katie,

Today you are 3 years old! I can't beleive it! It seems like yesterday you were born!
All your siblings adored you the moment you came into our lives.
Casey couldn't get enough of you and wanted to hold/snuggle you all the time. It was hard to make her give you back!
Sam turned into your other mother. Even telling me things she thought I was doing wrong or when she thought you needed to be fed. She still does and you two have such a special bond.
Tommy loved FINALLY being a big brother.
And your dad wasn't sure what to do with a baby girl! You quickly won his heart over and still have it in the palm of your hand!
Anywhere he is, you like to be!

We were all so surprised to see your dark hair and chubby face! We think you were storing food for the winter in there!

At 9 months old we got your pictures done with a special dress your Auntie made for you. It was gorgeous! I hope someday to pass it on to your children!
Birthdays are always special in our house! We loved seeing you turn 1!
Especially with the special made Backyardigans crown your friend Annie made for you! We still have it!
By your second birhday you got what was going on and was THRILLED to see the cake coming your way!
Today marks another year.



You keep amazing me every day with all your new found talents. Whether it is riding a bike, using the potty or just being sassy.

It still makes me sad every time you achieve a new milestone. Although I am thrilled to see it, I know you are my last child and try to treasure every moment.

Thank you for making my life complete. You make being a mom a joy. I look forward to being your mom forever!

My Little Katie

The girl drives me bonkers.

I put her to bed. 10 minutes later she is screaming "MAMA!! MAMA!!"

I am thinking she has to pee. So I charge up the stairs.

You know why she was screaming?

"Mama, I have a snooger on my finger!"

Yes, she had a big ole booger on her finger and needed to get rid of it.

At least she didn't eat!

Potty training at it's best!

Now that Katie is fully potty trained *jumping for joy!* she goes in the potty a lot!
Not just to pee. If she needs to "let some gas out" she goes and sits.

Some kids are afraid of the flusher, Katie LOVES to flush. I am convinced she goes to sit just because she wants to flush. That is ok with me! As long as she is doing it.

Yesterday she had to join me in the bathroom while I "went". God forbid I pee alone.
After she looked at me, while she was patiently waiting to flush, and said
"Momma, you want me to wipe you?"

How precious! Little does she know that in about 50 years she may be doing that! She should take her time offering!

Cuteness

Gosh, she says the cutest things.

Tommy is so tired from being up coughing last night. (that darn asthma kicks in with a cold)

He was in the living room moaning.

She yells from the other room " TIRED BUDDY?"

I cracked up, she heard her daddy say it this morning.

When I looked at her and smiled she said, "Why you lookin at me? Cause I am cute?"

Man, she even knows it!

Back to Normal!

I think we are getting back to our regular life today. Everyone is feeling good! *knocks on wood*
What a weekend. I like having my Katie Mae back! She was not herself.

This is us in the ER. Such a sad look! (by the way, I was taking these for her daddy and sending the via cell phone. He was home with the others)
By morning she was SOOOOO much better! I bought her a pink etcher sketch. She loved it and was showing anyone who came in the room!
And us waiting for the car to go home. Ice cream makes it all better!

We're Home!

Just a quick post. I wanted to let you know we are home. Katie is doing great. It is amazing how dehydrated they can get and so fast!
