WAHOO! I am leaving Sunday morning.
Poor Tommy's asthma is kicking in again. He has been coughing for days. Coughed all night last night. I mentioned to Chris that I should take him to his parents place (they have a 2nd home there) for a while to give his little lungs a rest. He said "OK!" I was shocked!
Just Katie, Tommy and I are leaving Sun-Fri. Chris will stay here with the big girls. They actually didn't care we were going.
We will be 40 minutes from Orlando. Tommy wants to go to his favorite place in the world...Sea World. I think that will be the only place we will go in Orlando. I want to just sit by the pool and head to the beach.
Hopefully the weather will do him good. Last year it did!

100th Post!!!!
Wow, my 100th post! Come celebrate with me! In honor if it, I am having family over and serving a huge turkey dinner. Well, ok, it is really Thanksgiving dinner, but I will call it my celebration!
I saw someone write down what they have learned about blogging in their 100th post, so I am going to do the same!
1. 3 Column blogs are easier to organize.
2. Check out Secret's in the Sauce and become part of the blog group. You "meet" many Bloggers. You Blogging life will never be the same!
3. Share funny stories.
4. People like pictures. I am a picture whore......It is my favorite way to share.
5. Comment on other blogs. It gets people motivate to keep going.
6. If you like Blogs, keep them as favorites. If you don't, you may forget them!
7. Don't use your blog to be mean or say hurtful things about others. You never know who is reading! **Although I love razzing on Ms. Nancy, I am thinking she knows nothing about me or my blog**
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. Eat and enjoy your day with family!

Christmas anyone?
I am getting in the holiday spirit. The past few years, for some reason, I haven't felt "into it". Maybe because all the kids are older now and can enjoy it?
It is just after 9:00 am and I have already been in the attic to bring my decorations down.
I am hosting Thanksgiving dinner, so I want to have my village up. But I am debating......do I put more decorations up? Will I get sick of seeing them up after a few weeks if I do? What should I do?

My Little Stud with His Glasses!
Girls Night Out.......well, early night out!
Isn't is amazing how a girls night out changes when you are in your 30's and have kids? I went out with a few friends. We met at 5:30 and I was home by 9:00! The kicker........9:00 was actually late! I am usually in my jammies getting ready for bed!
When I was in my 20's I would go out and not come home until late. Even if I had to go to work the next morning. I mean, I sat at a desk, if I was tired and had a hangover it was ok.
Not anymore! If I have to wake up at 6:00 to 4 kids, I do not want to be tired or hungover!
Me and a few friends went for dinner and martini's at our favorite local place.
Here we are toasting the night!
The sisters decided to start a photo shoot using the table center piece!
While in the middle of snapping pictures, a woman (who was obviously thought we were crazy!) came over and asked if we wanted her to take a group shot. It turns out she is someone I knew from the gym, 11 years ago!
And yes....one to many Martini's later, I think we should call it a night!

Snazzy Blog Award!
Another fellow Blogger, Suz, gave me this award. I feel very honored! **Thanks! I love reading your blog!**
Here is the write up with it:
"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."
Isn't that awesome? I am supposed to pass this on to some Snazzy blogs I love and spread some Bloggy Lovin!

Twilight Trap
Has anyone else fallen into the Twilight trap too? I started reading it because I kept seeing all this talk about it. I LOVE them! I am just about finished with book #4. **shhh...no one give the ending away**
I did not realize they were written for teenagers. I was reading the back of book #1 when it said something like "TEEN PEOPLE VOTES IT BEST BOOK!" umm....Teen People said that?
Then my 15 year old said "Mom, you are reading Twilight?" with a puzzled look on her face. I am happy that I am not alone and there are others out there like me. I am SUPER excited for the movie to come out this week! **Anyone want to come see it with me?**
Anyways, they are the best. And if you are addicted like me go hit Sunshine and Lemonade blog for the ULTIMATE Twilight giveaway. Chocolate, magazine, calendar and more! I am hoping I am on a winning streak and she will pick my name!

The result....glasses!
We just got back from the Ophthalmologist. Tommy will need to wear glasses all the time. He has 20/50 vision, lazy eye (in both eyes) and Astigmatism. He is also color blind! This is a far cry from what the Optometrists said last year.
I am hoping this will cure the headaches he is getting. It is such a sigh of relief that it is glasses and not something more serious.
Thank you for all your kind words everyone! I can't wait to see his little face in them.

Tommy's Headaches
I am not sure if I have mentioned it here before, but Tommy has been to doctors and had tests to see what is causing his headaches. 5 year olds shouldn't be getting headaches. One of them (the scariest) happened when we went on a date together. You can read it here. That was the one that made up snap our eyes open.
Since then, he has had an MRI. Thankfully it came back clear. Little by little we are trying to figure out why he is getting them now.
He has asthma and since he is sick all winter long, they have put him on Flovent. Which is a maintenance inhaler everyday. He has not had one headache since being on it. Hmmmmm......
Today we are getting his eyes looked at. He has complained about his eyes. He flunked the eye exam last year. We went to an Optometrist who said he may need glasses before he hits Kindergarten. 2 weeks ago, Tommy said to me "Mom, I think I need to see the DR again. Sometimes I can't see good and my eyes feel funny." So today we are going to see a Pediatric Ophthalmologist. I had no idea there were 2 different kinds of eye Dr's. The Ophthalmologist has a medical degree, a Optometrist doesn't. **that is your lesson for the day!**
We will see what today brings. If it is glasses he needs and that is the cause, I will be so happy. It is so frustrating to see your child go through all this and not have the answer.

We are ditching the idea!
No more potty training here. She just isn't ready. It isn't worth her being scared. She is only 2 1/2. She won't got to Kindergarten diapers. (Hopefully!) So we will try again after the holiday.
I also am keeping her with a sippy cup. Tommy is done, he is old enough. But Katie just isn't ready. All I did was clean up spills. ALL THE TIME. Once in a while she would do good. I am giving her a "Big Girl" cup at dinner and work slowly to the full thing.
