Did I Say Torture?

Ok,ok. It wasn't that bad!

I know yesterday I said I was being tortured. It turned out to be fun.

The little kids had a great time in the amusement park. The other side was a water park, they didn't care for that.

The big girls were on their own with friends. They had a blast.

Later in the day we (all 15 of us!)came together and the adult got to go on the big rides. Roller coasters and all. That is what made it better.

Maybe I was just jealous that Katie and Tommy were having all the fun and I had to watch.

We stayed there until about 7:30.

We have a few days left. We leave here Saturday.

VACATION!

I am away for the week.I am spending the week at my in laws place in Martha's Vineyard.

I have limited access to the internet. My Blackberry only works if I stand in a certain spot and the wind is blowing just right. Really, I can't turn my head or I lose the signal!

Also, I can only get on the internet when my dear father in law is out. I have to unplug his to plug mine in.

So, I will be here occasionally!

Pray for no rain! It has been raining in MA for WEEKS!!! Really!

Vacation- Part 1

I am back! I got home Saturday evening. We had a great time in Florida.

The highlight of the trip was going to Hollywood Studios and seeing Star Wars there. Tommy is a HUGE fan.

He got to make is own Light Saber.
He didn't put it down the rest of the week.
He battled like an American Idol
He battled Grampy on the beach.

Katie got a driving lesson from Uncle Rob. As you can see, it didn't work out so well!


Thank God he has a lot of patience!

I am sitting here waiting for our flight.BOO!

I am leaving 65 degree weather to go to 10 degree weather.

WHY????

Our Vacation in Florida......

I am finally home and getting a chance to post some pictures.

We went to New Smyrna Beach, where my in laws have a home. It was just Tommy, Katie and I. Chris stayed home with Sam and Casey. It was a last minute trip. We decided I would go Thanksgiving night. I purchased my tickets Friday and hopped on a plane Sunday!

Chris took us to the airport. You can see what a Daddy's girl Kate is!


We went to SeaWorld one day. The park was empty. We didn't wait in any lines at all!

The park was decorated for Christmas. It was gorgeous!

We saw a neat Polar Express exhibit/movie. You walked through the Artic section that they now called "The North Pole". It was decorated and smelled like Christmas! Santa was even there!
Katie wanted no part of seeing him. Tommy on the other hand, listed off every Transformer he would like.

We had dinner with Shamu. It was the highlight of the day. We were so close!




Here is our waiter. I loved him, he carded me then said "Wow, I would never have guessed you were that old!" Hmmm......I think that was a compliment!


We ended the night seeing the best Shamu Christmas show. Man, those people know how to put a show on. It is amazing.

Vacation is coming to an end.....

We are sad to head home tomorrow. We have had a great time.

We went to SeaWorld the other day. We had a ball! The park was empty! We didn't have to wait in any lines. We saw a cool Polar Express show that then let us through the "North Pole" and we got to meet Santa. Tommy told him the list of Transformers he wanted. Katie would not go near him.

The best was having dinner with Shamu! We sat poolside and had a private show (with many others) and had yummy food. The trainers came to each table to talk to us and answer questions. Tommy's most impoartant questions......"What is Shamu's last name?" Did you know Shamu is ALL the whales last names? We then saw a Shamu Christmas show. I have to say, I have been to SeaWorld 2 other times, this one was by far, the best.

No More Training Wheels!

The most exciting this on vacation was that Tommy learned how to ride a 2 wheeler. We have been raising them up little by little. Finally Chris took them off and off the went! Chris only had to hold the back of the bike for about 50 yards.


After going around the circle a few times (with Dad running along side of him!) he was ready to ride with the big kids! He thought he was so cool!

Back from Vacation!

Whew.......was it really a vacation? I think for everyone else but Mom. They are fun, but why do us Mom's have to do everything? It is Wednesday and I am still unpacking and doing laundry.

We went to our favorite vacation spot (that we can drive to!) York Beach, Maine. We have a friend who has a cottage there and have been going there for about 6 or 7 years. We have, what I like to call, "summer friends" there. We only see them during the summer and it is like we never left. It is so nice.

The little ones LOVE going for a Trolley ride. Even though it is used to go back and for the to the beach or downtown, we use it as an event!

There is a great place near there called "The Marginal Way" it is a walk you take around the cliffs and beach.

Katie decided she LOVED my Clam Chowder. She stole it from me and ate it all!

And for a funny laugh, this is how Katie decided she liked to eat Goldfish on the beach. EWWWW

Packing for vacation

We are leaving tomorrow for vacation for the week. Why is it that I get stuck packing for EVERYONE? The big girls pack themselves, but I have to make a list for them. Chris packs himself......and that is it. When was it my job to pack myself, Katie, Tommy, food, sheets, pillows, blow up beds, toys, movies, bikes, scooters, helmets, diapers, wipes and everything else that comes with going away for a week!

Last weekend we spent one night in a hotel after my BIL's wedding. I packed my make up bag......with no makeup! I packed the kids stuff......but no toys. How did I do that? Maybe because I was busy getting everyone ready. Chris was the Best Man and the 2 little ones were in the wedding. I was rushing around all day. Trying to send the groom a text message to stay sober (he is 25 and wanted to go to a strip club hours BEFORE the wedding!), get everyone dressed and then pack past minute stuff the GROOM forgot! UGH!

I am realizing I have to become Supermom at least once a week. I wish someone would appreciate it!
